All of our water activities that are deemed challenging we actually provide buoyancy aids for, so you really don’t have to be a champion swimmer, just comfortable in the water – all our activities are risk assessed and we encourage anyone & everyone to be able to do it.
BGSA can manage these with sufficient notice and this is something that you are prompted to provide details for at the time of confirming your space on a course with us. Should you have any concerns and would like to speak to a member of our reservations team, please feel free to get in touch.
The courses themselves are delivered by Bear’s team of instructors around the world. All instructors have been through intense BGSA training and are all experts in their own right. All of the lead instructors at our locations have personally worked with Bear on his various filming projects so we do have a very strong connection. Bear himself does not run the courses.
Whilst we appreciate the kit list detailed is quite extensive, we plan for all weather conditions and would rather you have the items with you should you need them. We do encourage you to check the weather forecast a short time before your course which will help to provide you with an idea of items you will need to bring with you and items that you may not need. For our extreme courses, all items mentioned will be required.
Upon completing your booking, confirmation will be emailed to you which will detail your exact meeting point details and various ways of getting to and from location. The recommended arrival time will also be mentioned as well as a contact telephone number for your lead instructor on the day.
